Our Mission

VISIONS, Inc. was founded on the belief that multicultural organizations and communities can be created and maintained by understanding and eliminating racism, sexism, ageism, classism, heterosexism, anti-semitism, adultism, ableism, violence and other forms of oppression and internalized oppression.   Grounded in an African American tradition, we strive to:

• provide multicultural consultation and training to individuals and groups confronting and challenging oppression at the institutional, cultural, interpersonal and personal levels, and
• develop and support existing community development projects that empower persons who are the targets of inequality.

Our Process

VISIONS consultants apply behavioral and other social science technology to address issues of injustice in ways that honor differing worldviews and traditions.  A key aspect is helping people in groups enhance their work together in a way that supports equity and inclusiveness.  We offer individuals and groups in a broad range of business, education, human service, and community development settings practical strategies, with demonstrated efficacy, to enhance human resource management, conflict resolution, and decision-making.      Top of Page
