VISIONS, Inc. has developed multicultural consultation and training services for primary, secondary and post-secondary educational institutions.

We conduct training and offer consultations for: organizational development and curriculum development in settings such as:

Colleges, Universities, Vocational and Technical schools, Public and Private elementary and  Secondary schools, Graduate and Professional schools.

Participants have included presidents, chancellors, provosts, vice presidents, faculty, principals, teachers, students, administrators, student organization leaders and staff such as secretaries, security officers and building and grounds personnel.

We design special training for intact work teams such as the financial aid office, student groups, resident advisors, registrar’s office, computer center or library staff.

Key Benefits:

Individuals and groups use the training to generate new strategies for:

Increasing the recruitment, retention and promotion of people of color and women in the educational system;

Increasing awareness of the diversity of learning styles and corresponding teaching styles that can maximize all students’ learning;

Increasing awareness of the challenges for students, faculty and staff of color particularly in predominantly white educational settings;

Increasing the options for resolving conflicts and tensions through understanding the impact of inter-cultural and intra-cultural behaviors;

Increasing knowledge of strategies for identifying interpersonal behaviors and organizational practices that a person may experience involving negative feelings related to sexism, racism, classism, or other “isms” and that may have a negative impact on historically targeted groups.

Capability 1
VISIONS, Inc. services companies of all sizes. Our consultants and resource consultants are positioned all over the country and bring a wealth and variety of experiences.
Capability 2
Our approach calls upon our thinking, doing and feeling modes. We effectively combine short lectures with experiential activities within a "no-blame" and dual responsibility approach.

Capability 3
Our consultants "walk the walk." Too often are workshops run by some novice to the field who has read quickly and has all the latest language and strategies to impress. Experience has taught us to "walk the walk" before we "talk the talk." Our consultants not only teach, they model for your company how to use the material they teach and further they're skilled at facilitating employees beginning to "walk the walk."
